What is Service ID

Each 1H service installed on your servers has its unique Service ID. This ID can be used when submitting a support request form, thus help 1H technicians identify which is the server and the specific service that you are referring to.

How to Acquire the Service IDs for the current server

There are 2 possible ways to acquire the Service ID. You can do so from the server itself or via your customer area with 1H.

From the Server Command Line

Service ID can be acquired by running the following command:

/etc/init.d/licd service_ids

The output will be similar to the following:

Hive: Service id: 2957
Guardian: Service id: 2958

In the given example the Hive Service ID is 2957 and the Guardian Service ID is 2958. Those are the IDs you should provide in the support contact form in the Service ID field.

Via your Customer Area

To acquire the Service ID via your customer area you should follow these steps:

  1. Login to your customer area at 1H.
  2. Go to My Services -> View Services
  3. The ID for each Service is displayed in the first column for each of the listed Services.

Important: Note that service IDs are unique for each server. They are directly related to the license for the server but the Service IDs are not the same as the license number.
